This always reminds me of my brother.  Every once in a while, I wonder what he might have been doing.  Especially when I talk to Stephen or Lou.  They're only a year older than he would be.  Would he be married?  What would he have majored in?  Where would he have gone to college?

 I love YouTube and I'm not ashamed to admit it.  Not only can you find stupid stuff like "Charlie the Unicorn," but you can find awesome stuff too.  For example, the flash-mob that sang Hallelujah Chorus in the Canadian Mall, which still gives me chills.  And, you can find this:

 I fell into the YouTube trap tonight.  Started looking for songs to write the last of my Lost: on Broadway lyrics for lost_land and wound up looking at '90s songs.  First I found this video, a montage of popular Pop songs: (and yes, I sang along to all but the O-Town one. Day 15: Christmas Shoesby Newsong

This song makes me cry every time I hear it.  I'm not overly fond of the movie (even though I adore Rob Lowe), but the book series is amazing.  If you haven't read it, you need to.  I believe Donna VanLiere is up to 6 books now.  Absolutly beautiful.

So I'm a sucker for all the old songs.  And, I guess because I travel so much during the holidays, it really hits home.  I either for to CT for Thanksgiving or Christmas, every year.  I hadn't heard this song yet this year until this morning and I was reminded of how much I love it.

We used to play this in Wind Symphony.  It was one of my two favorite Christmas songs to play, and I absolutely loved the oboe part (which is what we played on violin).

Day 9: White Christmas by Bing Crosby

Who doesn't dream of a White Christmas?  We got one last year and it was beautiful.  i'm hoping we have another one again this year, but it doesn't look promising.

Day 8: Hallelujah Chorus by. G. F. Handel from Messiah

Okay, so not only is this an amazing piece of music, but this video is ... indescribably wonderful.  Handel's Messiah is an amazing piece was composed in just 24 days.  Now, if you've never heard any of it, I ask that you listen.  Both the Christmas and Easter portions are beautiful.
